Hello again, loves :)
For the second part of our summer 2017 photoshoot campaign, we had the pleasure to meet Laurence, a charming & charismatic lady that we had spotted during our workshop sale last April. Laurence gladly agreed to pose for us and we had the privilege to be able to ask her a few questions about her life, her passions, her aspirations. Our first impression of Laurence is that she seems very dynamic, confident, and, honestly, one of a kind. You can feel that she loves and appreciates the little things of life.
Where are you from?
I was brought up in a little village named Sainte-Barbe.
When you aren't on set, what do you usually do?
I recently went back to school in independent studies at Concordia to figure out what I want to major in, I also bartend.
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Charismatic, honest & impulsive.
What is your relationship with Sokoloff Lingerie?
This is my first photoshoot for the brand so I must have known them for a good 24 hours haha. My first interaction with the brand was during their workshop sale at the end of April.
What is your go to lingerie set?
Lace, always! A lot of black & blush colors, I also wear a lot of Sokoloff.
Your go to day outfit?
I love layering, but my go to outfit would be a lose top, high waist jeans with a nice belt, a leather jacket and sneakers. I usually like to go for something comfortable.
A perfect day would be...?
Spending time with those I love, but also spending some time with myself. I love being outdoors, so I would probably go on a hike or something like that.
Your first impression of the collection?
Just beautiful. Each piece looks amazing and is of great quality. The fit is also great. I wouldn't change anything in the pieces I tried.
What are your passions?
Working out, I also recently started pole fitness. I just knitted my first piece during the winter so i'm also looking into knitting more.I love to read, I am currently reading Russian literature. I am also learning to sketch. I'm just trying to find what I'm the best at and what I enjoy the most.
Your guilty pleasure?
I always need to eat something in bed before I go to sleep. It can be anything, I just snack on it in bed.
"Don't take everything too seriously & don't put too much pressure on yourself." It's hard, but i try to live by that.
Your favorite spot for a girls' night?
There are lots of great places to go to, but nothing beats chilling at home in my underwear and drinking wine with my girls.
Tips to feel good in your own skin?
Don't compare yourself to others, we put too much pressure on ourselves. We set crazy goals for ourselves. For me, it's centered around my workout routine, but that is very personal.
3 things on your bucket list?
Go to Columbia, (finally) enroll in a major I love, be able to do a split before 2018.
Favorite song of the moment?
I am recently loving the Toronto based band July Talk. Their song "paper girl" is great.
I just want to say that, yes, we are fortunate to live in a society which values gender equality, but that it's important to know that it is still a struggle. We should always keep an eye open on the issue and not neglect it. We do have "gender equality' in Canada, but for me, it goes deeper than that.
